The Gen-X Journals is a personal publication built on real memories, real artifacts, and real talk. Here’s how I try to handle all of that responsibly.

The People in My Stories

I write from my own recollections, which means others may remember things differently. I believe everybody’s perspective is unique and valid. When I write about real people, I do my best to be fair, and I change or omit identifying details out of respect for their privacy. If you recognize yourself in something I’ve written and have concerns, please reach out so we can talk about it.

Community Content

If you share something in the comments, in chat, or via email, I may occasionally reference it in a future post, but I’ll always ask your permission first and won’t identify you without your consent. Content shared in private or closed groups is treated with the same respect: anonymized, and only used with permission.

Your Data

Subscriber data (your email address and payment information if you’re a paid subscriber) is handled by Substack. I don’t have direct access to your payment details, and I will never sell or share your information. You can read Substack’s full privacy policy at substack.com.

A General Disclaimer

My posts and perspectives here should not be considered medical, legal, or financial advice. Especially on things like anxiety, depression, hormones and HRT stuff, please consult with a professional.
